Well, maybe not “productive” per se, but definitely a person with a tax liability.

I start work as an analyst for a company that finances urban redevelopment in July. One month of summer freedom before that pesky “real world.” However, I must admit that I am kind of excited about the fact that I am employable. I had my doubts… Okay, fine, not so much doubts as me neurotically convincing myself of the worst. And yes, I was overly dramatic in my previous posts about post-college being equivalent to post-mortem. (I was NOT, however, overly critical of how much the job HUNT sucked. If anything, I downplayed how much I despised that part…)

I’m actually really excited to start work. As I understand it, I will be doing feasibility studies for redeveloping previously contaminated/industrialized urban areas. Hopefully it turns out to be as cool as I’ve pictured it in my head. And if not, at least I’ll have an income to fund my death march… : )
